From RFC2119:

4. SHOULD NOT This phrase, or the phrase “NOT RECOMMENDED” mean that
there may exist valid reasons in particular circumstances when the
particular behavior is acceptable or even useful, but the full
implications should be understood and the case carefully weighed
before implementing any behavior described with this label.

Given that description you can indeed ignore it, if you know what you’re doing. Anyway, in my case I have to support whatever is out there already and thus SHOULDs can not really be ignore by me.

No, “SHOULD NOT” cannot be ignored. “SHOULD NOT” means “we cannot stop you from doing this, though we would like to, so go ahead if you think you want to, but if you do and then it breaks, you get to keep both pieces”.

And no, POST is explicitly a method you cannot pipeline.

The FAQ is simply wrong about PUT.

pekwm is available on http://www.pekwm.org/ or alternatively https://projects.pekdon.net/projects/pekwm which both are sharing the same backend.
